Music Industries Owners' Association of Bangladesh (MIB) has announced their decision of not releasing albums by Bands and Band members. The organization has also threatened to carry out larger scale actions if charges against members of MIB are not dropped before 31st December. Recently the decision was announced to journalists in a press conference by members of MIB.

The decision is made in consequence of the famous Bangladeshi Singer James’s case against Soundtech(Click Here to Read the News) and the arrest of the managing director/owner of Soundtech Mr. Sultan Mahmood. MIB strongly protested against the arrest and insisted that James has wrongly accused Soundtech. MIB also demanded that the copyright laws of Bangladesh should be renewed.

MIB also asked musicians not to make contracts with Telecom Companies (Such as Banglalink, Grameenphone) violating their existing contracts with audio production companies.
